Right now i want... to be back at interlochen. the deck off kresge, looking onto the lake. that should be beautiful today.

god we were good. listening to this cd always sends shivers up my spine.

... it was easy to forget how special that summer was while it was happening. how amazing the talent pool, the people, the place. how uncommon. how brilliant.

... it was easy to forget after i had left how amazing it was. surrounded mainly by those people still, it was normal to me. wasn't that how everyone else's experience was? i couldn't imagine it any other way. or maybe i just didn't want to consider the alternative.

... it is impossible to deny, now, years later, that i took what i had for granted.

this cd, and that summer, is proof that my ideals can be achieved. and should be.
