Right now i want... hmm... good question....
so, it's monday morning. woo. hoo. and not only am i at the office, i've been here for an hour and a half! yep, that's right, i was here at 8:30. again. only, unlike last week where right about now i was doing cartwheels i was so energetic, i currently feel like there's a 50lb weight on my shoulders. i want a nap. i'm sleepy. but, surprisingly enough, i'm actually in a decent mood, so, the world isn't completely coming to an end.
i need to try to find a verizon service center today. why you ask? why on earth would i have to find a service center (note: this is different from just a store or kiosk, i found 3 of those yesterday)? oh, it's simple. if your phone isn't working, you have to take it into one of these "special" places, where you put your name down a clipboard and wait for hours on end for a rude, moronic, "cutomer service" person to tell you for 15 mins that your phone looks just fine now and you're imagining all of your problems, and then, after much arguing and demonstrating, they will try to "fix" the problem, which will, in fact, make the situation worse, then, between 45 mins and an hour, they will give up and give you a new phone. oh, but heaven forbid you ask them to transfer your phone list. can't you just do that by hand? my goodness, how rude of me, i actually want them to do their JOBS!
;) can't you tell i just love dealing with verizon?
morons. i sware, they employ these people just to vex me ;) i'm feeling very vexed at the moment. i love that word. vexed. very funny.
oh yes, i almost forgot. while going though my piles of email this morning, i stumbled on an invite for a blind date from some blind date service saying that one of my "close friends" had referred me for this date. URG. i'm not sure if it's legit or not, but, if someone out there actually put my email address in some webform thinking i wanted or needed a blind date, PLEASE NEVER DO IT AGAIN. :) i love you all, but i don't want you setting me up. thanks.
and :) oh. i forgot to mention this last week. the reason my last weekend (not this one, last one) was so fabulous was because barb did visit me! i didn't realize it while i was writing about it in my blog, but i didn't mention that she had made it in, so i have to correct my mistake.
and my dad should be getting his father's day present any time now, go fedex, go!
did you all read about the SpaceShipOne? very very cool stuff. the pictures alone are amazing, i can't wait to see the video later.
i have a chance to see Etta James in concert this week. still debating if i want to go.
the Grace Hopper Project at U of M invited me to speak at their luncheon again this year. sadly i won't be able to make it back. the lady who invited me, upon hearing my sad refusal to appear, said she hoped california was warmer than michigan. i'm sorry, but EW! no thanks, i'll take my moderate 70s, thanks :)
umm... anything else while i'm at it? i started reading the Rule of Four yesterday. so far so good, i just couldn't really get into it last night.
ok, cvs update complete, let's roll. or rock. or both :) i guess i'll find out....
