Right now i want... :) can't wait for 7:20 and Three Coins in the Fountain
i love sundays :) why? here's what i've done so far, and it's only the afternoon *ahem*:
1) i slept in. i love sleeping in, especially when it means waking up without an alarm clock
2) took a nice long shower. that one's self explanitory.
3) saw Lance Armstrong win his Sixth Consecutive Tour de France and i'll admit it: i even got a bit misty during CBS's cheesy film mantage condensing the last 28 days into 2 mins... France was so beautiful, i was partly crying because i wanted to be there so badly.
4) watched enough of the USA Softball Team's game to feel they had another vicotory safely in hand (5-0 in the 3rd?). they're still undefeated in their warm-up tour before the Olympics.
5) Coffee and the New York Times. Remind me to quote the article on The Daily Show later. John Stewart is still the man, even though he was invited to broadcast from the floor of the Democratic Convention next week (set your TiVo's, guys! not the convention, the Daily Show!). When asked if he thought the Daily Show would join the ranks of the mainstream media, he said "Why would the Hunters ever want to be Deer?"
6) Wandering through Borders, always a delight. i limited my purchases to Wired, Vogue, and Swann's Way. Resisted the urge to buy Ayn Rand's We the Living, Christine Balint's Ophelia's Fan, and Jennifer Cruise's Welcome to Temptation.
7) Talked to my Mom and Cathy on the phone :)
8) Had a lovely Cranberry Chicken Salad at the Tied House in Mountain View. Leftovers for a late dinner tonight. Made it through most of Wired.
9) Came home, turned on the fans, enjoyed having the apartment to myself (and Puff!) by going through a full vocal warmup.
10) blogging so i don't forget what i've done (that part of the concussion is still here). grateful i haven't had to take any real amount of motrin in two days.
:) and that's just the beginning. i can't wait to see the movie this evenging, and i'm planning on hitting up Restoration Hardware while i'm in Palo Alto, see if i can talk myself into buying those fabulous sheets they have on sale.
k... :) now to kill some time before the movie... how about some Gilmore Girls and Proust? :) really, i didn't set out today to be so damn well rounded, but, i seem to be doing a pretty good job of it.... looks like i haven't had a good history fix, though, i'll see what i can do about that....
