Right now i want... do i contradict myself? very well, i contradict myself.

a few things.

First: 90% of all Statistics are Wrong, and other Junk Research Facts:

Alwayson network claims that a recent survey conducted by Online Testing Exchange (OTX) and distributed by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) is crap. The MPAA's summary of the survey claims, among other hard-to-believe assertions, that 'about one in four Internet users have downloaded a movie.' (It turns out this isn't true, but this is the factoid that was heard around the world the following week.) When did you stop trusting sponsored 'research'?"

Second: Clive Owen is gorgeous. and brilliant.

Third: i'll admit it, i do own and have read (multiple times) Pride, Prejudice, and Jasmin Field. and yes, it's exactly what you think: a strict knock-off of Pride and Prejudice. more of an excercise in how to follow a formula and not make it entirely laughable than a new, interesting take on an old standard. it's fluff, and while it walks the line of being maddeningly rediculous, it doesn't cross it, which is how i can convince myself to read it again when i don't want to drive to a Borders.

But! Now Ms. Nathan, after a good effort with The Nanny, has taken another swipe at Ms. Austen with Persuading Annie, a very literal rip off of Persuasion. She didn't even bother to change our heronie's name!

So, please everyone, i beg you, chick lit is fine and good, but when it comes to Jane Austen knock offs, read the original. I promise they are much more enjoyable.
