Background Noise: Laura Bush's Speech at the RNC

Right now i want... it to be september 21st!

:) ok, let me take a moment to be a really big dork: i can't WAIT for the next season of Gilmore Girls to start! :) i am a huge JavaJunkie shipper, and i can't wait for a glimpse of Sexy!Luke and Smitten!Lorelai. ::deep breath:: thanks, i just had to get that out.

i've been watching the RNC for the past little bit, saw Arnold's speech -- surprisingly good, though a few too many movie references... though that isn't exactly surprising -- the Bush twin's introduction, the President's introduction of his wife, and now the First Lady's speech. and frankly, she should speek more: she is captivating and strong with a steady pace and a knack for keeping those obnoxious applause breaks in check. her description of nights spent watching her husband deal with the information and senarios he was presented with and decisions he had to make was riveting; hers is a perspective no one else could have discussed, and she delivered it beautifully.

and as terribly cliche as it may be for the First Lady to speak on Education and Women's Rights, they are topics worth the focus and attention she gives them, and i don't feel the need to cringe and change the channel embarrased at what she is saying.

i'd like to find the text of this speech; it's worth having. and whoever wrote it should be very proud.
