Right now i want... a good answer to why i'm back in cali

so, i just posted my pictures from my trip to ann arbor, which i suppose is a good indication that i made it back to the gold coast (as i was told to call it on the plane -- the guy on the aisle was very offended when i called it "brown" and "dead" and "hay-like").

just before i collapse into my chair (didn't make it in to work, i'm too drained... really, really drained), i have to mention, i've been mystified by the synchronized diving the past few days. those four events have been the highlight of the games for me so far... that i've seen. i'm actually the most excited about the women's softball team (kicking major ass)... but nbc doesn't seem to think that showing any of the games is worth their time... which is funny, considering the women are completely dominant, as well as being incredibly beautiful. you'd think that nbc would be falling all over itself to put them on tv. oh well. here's your moment of zen:
