Background Noise: Fair, Remy Zero; talking to heather a.
Last website visited: news rounds, blog rounds, i'm feeling pretty up to date right about now
Mood: the coffee is starting to work...
Right now i want... 2 parts
Part 1: The banner. If you've ever been to Apple's Campus and more specifically to building 1 (that would be 1 Infinte Loop) you've undoubtedly seen the two ginormous banners that hang in the atrium. really, you can't miss them, they're enormous 3 story tall banners taken from current marketing campaigns. Now, since i got here in february, these banners have been the same: a pink mini ipod facing the street, the iLife suite facing the quad. Last night, however, as i was leaving the office, i noticed i could see the moutains from the third floor bridge over the lobby... wait, mountains? how can there be moutains? there's normally the... oh! they're changing the bannars! (yes, i was a bit slow last night, forgive me). anyways, it was fun, watching the sunset and watching these guys change the banners... and now, we have the new imac facing the street and the pink mini facing the quad. ok, end of the story.
Part 2: AIM messages Heather and I have been noting our odd assortment of aim away messages and how they don't really make sense a few months after we first used them. so, for posterity's sake, and hopefully to get a few laughs, here are a few of my older messages... and hey, maybe some new ones. i usually draw these from my (fairly extensive) pop culture quote land, can you figure out the references?
there now, wasn't that fun? ok, back to the bug squashing.... oh! one more thing: i forgot my cell phone this morning. again. am i the only one who feels like a limb is missing when they forget their phone?

- behold the power of jazz hands!
- what am i, dream tramp?
- near may be better than far but it still isn't there
- if you were waiting for the opportune moment, that was it
- i'll eat some breakfast then change the world
- i'm not looking at you like you're crazy!
- no dice, frodo, think of something better.
- isn't it too devine?
- it's cheaper than a movie and there's free coffee
- you know you're very impudent
- oooh, did you do something slutty?
- that thou, her maid, art far more fair than she
- where have all the anvils gone?
- would if we could? debatable.
- thou art, to me, a delicious torment
- Yes fair! the fairest! the Snow White of fair!
- the Universe may not always play fair, but it's got one hell of a sense of humor
- better than anything else that i've tried
- 'cause there's beauty in the breakdown
- intertextual references as cultural capital
- [insert obscure pop culture reference here]
