Right now i want... my coffee to kick in

i could go into this huge rant about public utilities right now: taking money electronically but doing the paperwork by hand causing all kinds of headaches and confusion... but i won't. at least, not right now -- i fixed it.

instead, i'm pleasantly surprised by the ease and effectiveness of Washington Mutual's online banking (ok, Steve, you can breathe, it's ok, i'm not going crazy). see, washington mutual and i certainly don't always see eye to eye on how they handle my money; it's fair to say that i've wanted to do physical bodily harm to whatever idiot thought up the "we can freeze your account pretty much whenever we feel like it for no good reason" policy. but, i have to admit, they got the online portion right.

i signed up for an online account and was able to view my account history and verify a payment from last week within 3 minutes. i'm not kidding; i was even on the phone with the utility company while i did it. the experience was actually fairly validating; i knew i was right, and i went and proved it, faster than they could sputter "i'm not seeing anything on your account, miss."

anyways, i have to get back to my bug stomping :) just had to share.

ps -- i've decided i want a roommate. hopefully this girl from switzerland will work out, but i'm really going to look for someone to move in for october.
