So i've been really busy these last few weeks, and i'm sorry that i haven't written more... a lot has been going on, though, besides work and my stress-defying schedule. stuff that you, as a collective entity made up of whom i know not ¹, should be aware of and hopefully act on.

Now where's my trusty list... hmm, ahh! :) there it is.

1. Music is Not a Loaf of Bread: We live in a connected world now. Some find that frightening. If people are downloading our music, they're listening to it. The internet is like radio for us....


2. Senate May Ram Copyright Bill: The Senate might vote on HR2391 (.pdf), the Intellectual Property Protection Act, a comprehensive bill that opponents charge could make many users of peer-to-peer networks, digital-music players and other products criminally liable for copyright infringement. The bill would also undo centuries of "fair use" -- the principle that gives Americans the right to use small samples of the works of others without having to ask permission or pay.


3. How Heinous Is This Bill?: the bill would "permit people to use technology to skip objectionable content -- like a gory or sexually explicit scene -- in films, a right that consumers already have. However, under the proposed law, skipping any commercials or promotional announcements would be prohibited."
