My office, looking through new bugs to fix, staring out the window at the beautiful day outside. Maybe i should take a walk, i think, i'll use my shiny new super-spiffy ipod shuffle.

Me: Oh, Shit!

::furiously dials tech support::
::ring ring, ring ring::

TS: Hello, Apple Tech Support, Jane speaking, how may i help you today?

Me: Hi! oh thank goodness i got through, my new ipod shuffle isn't working and it's only a day old!

TS: Don't worry miss, we'll get this fixed up in no time. Please tell me what happened.

Me: Thank you so much! I wanted to re-AutoFill my playlist so i plugged in my ipod and let it charge

TS: Ok, so far so good.

Me: yes, exactly, so far so good.

TS: just out of curiosity what were you listening to while your ipod was charging?

Me: oh, just one of my playlists

TS: of course, continue please

Me: So, like i was saying, after the ipod charged i ejected it and plugged it back into my lanyard and pressed play... but nothing happened!

TS: i'm sorry, nothing happened? could you clarify that please?

Me: well, when i pressed play the green led lit up as it was supposed to, but i couldn't hear any music!

TS: well that's not good. did you make sure the ipod was on?

Me: yes, of course.

TS: did you turn it off then on again?

Me: yes

TS: did you try to play and then pause then play again?

Me: yes, yes, of course, i also checked the volume settings and it didn't help!

TS: so you still couldn't hear the music out of your headphones?

Me: ....

TS: Miss?

Me: ...i think i need a nap. Thank you so much for your help.

TS: is everything alright, miss?

Me: Yes, thank you, i fixed the problem.

TS: have a nice day, miss. Might i suggest taking the rest of the afternoon off?

Me: yes, yes i think that is a wonderful idea, thank you.

TS: good bye.

Me: good bye. Hmm, maybe if i dyed my hair brunette i wouldn't have so many blonde moments....
