Mood: what a nice... tuesday?
Right now i want... i'm good, thanks.
I was going to write this charmingly philosophical yet poignant post about love, and how it can sear the brain until you're no longer quite yourself....
instead, i'm just going to say: d'uh.
yes, i think that sums it up nicely. QED and all that.
In other news, how cool is it that the Gilmore Girls fans are raising money to put an ad in the Hollywood Reporter for Lauren Graham's Emmy consideration? talk about devoted. The woman deserves the recognition, though, so i encourage all of you who can to donate. even a few dollars can help them reach their goal.
is it sad that i'm starting to like Gwen Stafani's Rich Girl track?
Damn these compile errors! urg! Seriously xcode is quickly undoing all of the good relaxing i managed to squeeze in this weekend.
To conclude, a note on Sex and the City. I find it very interesting that the older i get the more personal this show becomes. When i was in college, and granted not watching much since i didn't have HBO, the show was funny and shiny, sexy and fun, and one neon reminder how much i wanted to live in New York City. As i slowly speed towards my mid-twenties, however, the deeper themes of the show are starting to clutch at my heart; scenes with friends and men are starting to look more familiar.
I find it interesting that while i never consciously wanted a life wholly like Carrie's, or Miranda's, or Charlotte's, or Samantha's, it looks like i'm getting one that has hints of all four.... Suddenly i feel a bit like Alice falling down the rabbit hole, curious at the strange surroundings and unaware i'm hurtling towards a strange new world.
ETA: wow i covered a lot of mental ground on that last one... sorry, it makes more sense if you realize about every other line was written minutes apart while screaming at my project. Still, it's kind of trippy so i'm not going to change this particular post... not just yet at least.
