Background Noise: hallway traffic (ie, nothing)
Last website visited: i'll spare you
Mood: Ranty McRant-rant
Right now i want... the ladder out of my office so i can call verizon and cancel my service.
Well, since there's currently a ladder keeping my door open i figured i might as well take this time of no music and no calls to blog a bit. Aren't you all lucky.
::sigh:: i'm not really in as bad or snippy of a mood as my activity today might suggest. True, i miss new york like it's my left arm and far away friends like their my right. True, i'm inexplicably tired even though i slept a ton this weekend. True, my today will mostly be spent writing (or starting) a series of investigative documents to allow me to continue my project (which i'd rather be working on). But... oh what the hell.
I want to be in the city, damnit. I want somewhere to walk... to wander, stroll, meander, rush... whatever. I want to stumble into a museum. I want to spontaneously see a musical, a play, a concert, a recital. I don't want to have to plan and cajole and twist arms to get anyone to see anything with any cultural potential with me.
And as much as enjoy seeing things by myself, the experience is usually heightened by having company.
So that's my beef. It's been - what - 5 weeks? i guess my tolerance for suburbia is diminishing.
Ok, hopefully that lanced my wound enough for the moment. Stay tuned for my musings on Something Borrowed and Something Blue
