Barb you are... hilarious. I'm amazed, dearie... your comments on those europe pictures almost had me spitting coffee on my laptop!

congrats. i mean,
"This little gem of a cottage is actually what used to be the caretaker's home at Chenonceau Castle, the country retreat Henri II lavished upon his infamous mistress Diane de Portiers. Though she was a 35-year-old widow, she romanced the the 16-year-old before he was king and remained his true love throughout his life--despite his high-profile marriage to Catherine de Medici. The two women battled over the design of the grounds of Chenonceau until Henri's fatal wounding and subsequent death, whereby Catherine banished Diane from the property. The Chateau also provided escape for the Jewish population during WWII, because it's foundation spanned a river. One side was occupied France, and the other was not."
... how do you remember this stuff? isn't that verbatim what the tour guide said?

more, please!

In other news, i'm trying out a new phone with a new number from T-Mobile. I'm sick and tired of verizon dropping all of my calls and not letting me have voicemail. and charging too much. with no sms... and, you get the point. If by friday i've decided i can't live without my new phone i'll make that number public. Until then, if you get a call from a wierd 408 number... it might be me.

ETA @ 2:35pm: Needed to add - my ringtone? Fraggle Rock. How cool is that?
