Right now i want...

So, even though it's not on the website yet, it's official, so

AL SILBER HAS BEEN CAST AS LAURA IN ANDREW LOYDD WEBBER'S THE WOMAN IN WHITE!!!

David Grindrod, the Casting Director for the show, answering questions about what he looked for in casting leads for the show (talking about Al) said:
It’s not just the voice, there is a whole persona that comes in with them. For example the new girl we have to play Laura in The Woman in White. I hadn’t seen her act, I had only heard her sing and we brought her in for Trevor (Nunn) and he was completely blown away. And then when Sonia (Friedman) and Trevor saw her act we all agreed that she was perfect.

... The new girl we have playing a lead in The Woman in White has come straight out of college – The Royal Scottish Academy of Music....

more later!

Ok, it's Later @ 4:51: So i was pondering my statement earlier today that google can come back to bite you in the ass, and i am worried that i might have been made a fool again today. See, I don't want to make the announcement about Al for the producers of Woman in White and i'm afraid that's what i might have just done. However, i'm not going to take this post down (on the off chance anyone has read it), because i am so proud of Al and so thrilled that Mr. Grindrod and Co. noticed her gifts so quickly. Those of us who have the privilage to know her would tell you the same thing: she is an amazing talent who will soon take this world by storm. I can't wait to see the Woman in White, and i'm just glad that i can live vicariously (even a little bit) through my fabulously talented friends.
