Right now i want... a giant fly swatter

My search for theKetchup has been preempted by an emergency trip to the BlackBox (read: how? when? why? wtf?). But while i'm waiting for my build, i have to mention the great suprise of last night:

Beauty and the Geek, with all the potential of scraping the bottom of the reality genre's barrel, was sweet, funny and virtually humiliation free. I'm not kidding. I actually liked it. Instead of the horrid dating show the Evil Promo Bastard made it out to be, this "social experiment" is designed for self-improvement and (dare i say it?) self-enlightenment.

With any luck, if the rest of the season progresses as the first episode suggests, everyone might make it out of this reality show with their dignity in tact. And maybe, just maybe, Beauty and the Geek will serve as a reminder that the religion of superficiality that hollywood has been pushing for the past decade isn't everything it was cracked up to be.

Wouldn't that be beautiful.
