Background Noise: For Good, Wicked
Last website visited: the Stanford Theater is Back Open!!
Mood: kinda sleepy... but i love my new bed!
Right now i want... Let the Movies Begin!
Finally! I've found the solution to the craptastic movies hollywood has been coming out with this summer: Bring On the Classics!
Ok, here are the ones i want to see and their dates (now all i have to do is stick to it):
In other news, i bought my bedframe last night! Actually purchasing the frame and getting it back to my apartment was a bit too nerve wrecking for my tastes, but it's there and set up and it's so amazingly comfortable. and Big. I am amazed at how... pulled together my bedroom looks now. For example, it actually looks like one now. I know, your shock is palpable.
So i have to say thanks to Dave for enduring Ikea and the drive home with me, and Steve for letting me drag him out of bed to set the frame up. Though i have to say, we put the thing together in record time. i had him home inside of an hour.

Charade is, hands-down, my favorite movie on their upcoming schedule.
The African Queen is great, too.
I like both of the Hepburns, but neither The Philadelphia Story nor Sabrina are among my faves. I think Sabrina may actually be my least-favorite Audrey film.
It Should Happen to You is surprisingly good.
Ninotchka has one of my favorite movie lines: "The latest mass trials were a great success. There will be fewer but better Russians." (It's not a great film overall, tho.)
There are some others on the schedule I haven't seen but would like to. And I'll try to make time to see a few I haven't even heard of.
I've been going to the Stanford since 1999. It's great. I think at the end of that summer - their "Our Top 50" season - my friend Subrata and I figured we'd seen between 35 and 40 of the films, which meant we were seeing 4-to-5 films a week on average. Ahh, those were the days, geeks with too much time and no girlfriends. :-)
