So there's a new book based on Pride and Prejudice arriving in the states this October (in time for the November (November?!) release of the latest movie remake of the same book. However, Darcy's Diary doesn't seem to be a cheesy chick-lit-one-off loosely-veneered-and-practically-infringing read, but a more interesting study of Darcy himself both before P&P begins and continuing after his wedding to Lizzie.

Initial rumblings are good, and the exceprts on the book's webpage are intriguing. Well, at least i know of one book i'll be reading in October :)
