Train Wrecks: Why can't you look away?
Background Noise: Come Back to Texas
Last Visited:nothing interesting
Random Thought: Sometimes a taste is more torturous than nothing at all
Mood: t-i-double-G-RRR!
::sigh:: what a way to start my week. My car is in the shop, Ford is exhasperated that i'm not 25 and they have to rent a car for me, and just when things start to go really well, everything gets messed up again. Perfect.
Ok, time for a diplomacy question: If you agree to help a friend with one of their on-the-side projects and you don't really want to help but you feel you don't have a choice, do you keep your mouth shut and pout in silence or do you mention that even though you don't want to work on their special project you'll still help? Should they be understanding that you're not happy, or would your expressing your feelings only make them feel worse? When they call your help "volunteering" and you call it "forced labor" is there really any point in clarifying things? Where do you draw the line and just shut up and do what needs to be done... even though you don't have anything invested in the end product?
In other news, my baby brother got on a plane this afternoon to come visit. I'm thrilled he's coming out to California. I just wish i had more time to show him around. I only really get to do the fun touristy stuff when people visit.... Anyways. I think i'm going to take friday off work even though i shouldn't. It would be the only time i could guarentee to spend with him, i'm not going to pass that chance up.
After all, work can't be everything all the time. Ha. Yeah, this is me saying that. Hilarious.

Just remember: "Character, in great and little things, means carrying through what you feel able to do."
I can do it, so i will. That doesn't mean i have to like it though. I just really wish i did....
