Er, i mean, Avast! *sigh* i suck at pirate speak. but it's the spirit (Captain Jack, of course) that counts. i'm going to have to remember to watch Pirates of the Caribbean later.... or... bring in the dvd or something.

on a completely different note, i have something for all of you who took EECS 100. Remember how we all pondered if we ever really needed to know the difference between signed and unsigned numbers? Well, guess who ran into a practical application today? yep! :) that's right, little old me. So here's the cute question for all y'all:

unsigned long long availableSpace = some number
unsigned long long cushionofSpace = some bigger number

now, what is the result of availableSpace - cushionofSpace?

that's right: a really fricken huge number that doesn't come close to approaching 0. Oh, wait, you mean we were checking for availableSpace to approach 0?....

ETA: According to Esquire, Gilmore Girls is the best show for Men on tv. Seriously. No, i'm not kidding, that's that is says. See, i wasn't totally out in left field :)
